Release 7.1
Adds support for public page ranges - sections of a book can now be opened to the public, while retaining the zoom limit for the rest of the title. The text of the public pages can be sucked into Google, and we present named links to the public sections on the book's marketing page.

Also, the library login link for each title is presented on its publisher's marketing materials page.

Tomcat and cookies
Cookie handling always seems to complicate the deployment of new server components. Tomcat 6.0.16 introduced a few changes in the way cookies are managed - the upshot is that some cookie values may acquire surrounding double-quotes.

This is transparent to the servlet, as tomcat strips the extra punctuation off before handing the value back to the servlet on the next request.

If you're using the cookies in other components (for example apache plugins) then they need to be updated too. A new authorisation filter is now in place which handles this, ready for a tomcat upgrade later this week.

Release 6.10
Finally moves the "about" pages from static files to the db. This allows us to create custom about sections for the themed sites - in particular we can roll out the FAQ in French.

Implemented associated editors on the admin side, a basic templating system (so we can put placeholders into the text which will be resolved at request time) and hooked AboutSections back to a default theme. This is so that if you request an about page which isn't part of your current theme (maybe you followed a link from Google), we can show you the content in an appropriate design.

Set up apache rewrites from the old about page URLs to their new addresses.

Props
Now that more titles support the text bar, it's become increasingly distracting to see the page text appear for a moment before it's pushed down the page by the page images.

We don't know exactly how tall the page images will be before they're loaded (different for each title, and even within some issues there may be fold-outs which have a different aspect ratio). This means we can't give accurate hints to the browser on how it should lay out the page.

I've added a "prop" div of fixed height (500px). This is enough to push the text bar away from the natural focus of the page, but short enough that its effect should be overriden by the page images once they arrive. I've also amended the javascript to hide this prop as soon as the page is loaded anyway for those who have javascript enabled.

Release 6.9.8
fixes a small but annoying bug, where if you had expired or cancelled subscriptions in your account they could cause you to get stuck in an endless loop of login pages. Now you see our "you have no subscriptions" message as you would expect.
