Spent the morning at a "tech talk" from BEA about webservices and SOA. Looks interesting, though to some extent just another cycle in the new-acronym-which-delivers-code-and-object-reuse saga. Eventually we'll have a framework so abstract that it requires its own scripting language and then we're back to where we started. Still, a worthwhile heads-up and my head is now fimly up.

As for the HP bit about their management system, I'm not saying anything. I think we can do without.
