Investigated the possibility of making the US trial favour (favor ?) longer results by default. Won't be easy - the language preference is always in effect and so we don't have to handle interactions with user selection. The metasearch preferences, however, should be overridable by the user in the usual way. This means we either have to create a new client field to store them or beef up the metasearch logic to know which choices are mutually exclusive and decode the clashes when required. I suspect the latter is the best option.
