First fly in the ointment - we'll have to tread carefully when it comes to boundaries between the original images. There's no guarantee that they will align conveniently with our 200x200 grid, so we'll have to do a bit of judicious joinery to ensure the seams are invisible.

Tackle that later. For the test we're only using one of the original tiles.

I'm using Geoff's image slicing script to generate the tiles, but due to the size of the original image it's going to be a lengthy process.
